
Joseph Osei Bonsu is a Toronto-based illustrator, graphic designer, and arts facilitator with nearly two decades of experience in the creative industry.
Growing up, Joseph developed a love for visual storytelling through comic books, animation, and character design. That passion led him to study Art Fundamentals at Sheridan College before continuing his education in Interactive Media Design and 3D Animation at Seneca Polytechnic.
Throughout his career, Joseph has worked across illustration, publishing, advertising, education, and entertainment. His work has included children’s books, comics, editorial illustration, character design, storyboarding, branding, and advertising campaigns. He has collaborated with organizations and companies including Scholastic Canada, the City of Toronto, Historica Canada, Seneca Polytechnic, DC Canada Education Publishing, Playfly Sports, and Yuga Labs.
Outside of his commercial work, Joseph works as an arts facilitator, teaching drawing, character design, comics, and visual storytelling to young people through organizations including NIA Centre for the Arts and Story Planet.
Joseph is also the co-founder of Heroes of the World, an independent Canadian comic and lifestyle brand focused on creating original heroes, stories, and artwork inspired by cultures from around the world.
